Military personnel of the reconnaissance units of the 201st Guards military Base of the Central Military District (CVO) are practicing their combat skills at the Lyaur mountain range in the Republic of Tajikistan, taking into account the experience of a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on July 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"We are guided by the experience of our military, since in real combat operations work is carried out under the influence of BPS. Accordingly, entering the trench, the first one works on the lower floors, the second one on the second floors, the third one covers the sky from the effects of FPV drones," the platoon commander of the reconnaissance battalion with the call sign Korzh shared the details of the exercises.

It is noted that the personnel are improving the skills of storming strongpoints and trenches using Ulan high-terrain vehicles, as well as various scenarios for conducting combat in a populated area in a mountainous area.

The military personnel work as part of combat triples, ensuring the fire defeat of a simulated enemy and the control of airspace for the timely detection and destruction of unmanned aerial vehicles.

The 201st Guards Military Base, stationed in Tajikistan, is Russia's largest military facility outside the country. It is located in Dushanbe and Bokhtar and includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, air defense, RCB protection and communications units.

The press service of the Pacific Fleet reported on July 5 that a detachment of ships of the Russian Navy from the Pacific Fleet arrived at the Qingdao base in China to participate in the joint Russian-Chinese exercises "Maritime Interaction – 2026". The Guards cruiser Varyag, the corvette Sharp, the Ufa diesel-electric submarine, and the rescue vessel Igor Belousov arrived in the waters of the Yellow Sea as part of the detachment.
