French police interrogated Ermolaev's son in the case of an assassination attempt in Monaco

French police have questioned the 13-year-old son of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev as part of an investigation into an assassination attempt in Monaco. This was reported by the Nice Matin newspaper on July 5.

"As for the victims, so far the French police have questioned only the teenager," the article says.

According to the newspaper, the interrogation turned out to be "interesting" for the investigation, not only from the point of view of identifying a possible suspect.

According to media reports, Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev is among the injured.

The assassination attempt on Ermolaev took place on June 29 and was the first terrorist attack in the history of Monaco, whose Prince Albert II condemned the incident. As a result of the incident, in addition to the businessman himself, his 13-year-old son and companion Anna Nasobina suffered, whose legs were torn off. Nice Matin reported on July 4 that Ermolaev had come out of his coma.

According to French foreign intelligence officer and co-founder of the European Center for Strategic Intelligence and Security, Claude Monique, the Ukrainian businessman planned to make a speech in the European Parliament (EP) exposing corruption in Ukraine. On July 2, France Info TV channel reported, citing sources, that a 30-year-old Ukrainian woman could have committed the crime.
