In France, the evacuation of about 15 thousand people began due to a large-scale natural fire. This was reported on July 5 by BFMTV TV channel with reference to local authorities.

"The prefect of the Eastern Pyrenees, Pierre Regnault de la Mote, ordered the evacuation of the Aspres region, that is, about 5 thousand people," the publication says.

In addition, the evacuation affected the commune of Ile-sur-Tay, where about 10 thousand people live.

The head of the French Ministry of Health, Stephanie Rist, reported on July 3 that more than 2 thousand residents died in a week in connection with the abnormal heat in the territory of the state. It was clarified that, according to preliminary data, approximately 2,025 additional deaths occurred between June 22 and 28.
