In St. Petersburg, a woman stabbed her underage son in the neck with a knife at one of the pick-up points. This was announced on July 5 by the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city.

"The investigation established that on the evening of July 4 of this year, a woman, being in the premises of an order pick—up point located on Severny Avenue, stabbed her minor son in the neck with a knife during an argument," the agency's website said.

A criminal case has been opened against the woman on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105, Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder", "Improper performance of duties for the upbringing of a minor by his parent").

A preventive measure is being taken against the detainee. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. The teenager received the necessary medical care in a timely manner.

On July 4, the body of a nine-year-old girl who had previously disappeared in the city of Jurga was found in the Tom River in Kuzbass. According to the investigation, on July 2, the child went for a walk to the playground near the house on a children's scooter and did not return. A criminal case has been opened into the disappearance under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
