Pistorius promised Germany's largest contribution in the new NATO aid package to Ukraine

Germany is going to make the largest individual contribution to the new planned NATO assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of €70 billion. This was announced on July 5 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

"She (Germany's share. — Ed.) will undoubtedly be the largest single contribution," he said in an interview with the Bild newspaper.

Pistorius said that Kiev is counting on assistance not only from European loans, but also from a "new support fund." At the same time, the German minister did not say exactly what amount Germany plans to provide to Ukraine.

Pistorius said on July 2 that the conflict in Ukraine had entered a decisive phase, so the sponsors of the Kiev regime needed to increase funding. The head of the German Defense Ministry noted that now Kiev allegedly "needs money." The resolution of the relevant issue, according to him, is "urgent."

On July 2, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky accused Western states of failing to fulfill their obligations to supply missiles to the country. It was noted that the Norwegian authorities had declared their readiness to pay for 200 missiles, but so far none of them had been delivered.
