The most sought-after vacancies among zoomers in the first half of 2026 have been named

In Russia, in the first half of 2026, young people aged 18-24 were most often looking for jobs as engineers, electricians, and administrators. This was announced on July 5 by Avito Work experts, having studied and compared the platform's data with the same period last year.

"Young people today are considering a wide range of career opportunities: from engineering and technical specialties to the service sector and catering," Roman Gubanov, Director of Development at Avito Rabota, told RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the most noticeable increase in interest was recorded among mechanical engineers - zoomers began to post resumes for this position 2.3 times more often. The young specialists expected an average salary of 113.6 thousand rubles per month. Young people were twice as likely to seek work as an engineer in the production and technical department with an expected income of 106 thousand rubles and an administrator with a salary of about 54.9 thousand rubles.

In addition, the demand for electricians (91.2 thousand rubles) and gardeners (53.1 thousand rubles) has almost doubled. Resumes for sales specialist positions (44.5 thousand rubles), plumber (91.8 thousand rubles) and cook (65.5 thousand rubles) were 1.9 times more likely to be posted. There was also an increased interest in the professions of a florist (about 50 thousand rubles) and a sales consultant (50.8 thousand rubles).

According to Gubanov, many of these areas allow you to quickly gain experience and build a further career trajectory. As he noted, this affects the choice among young professionals.

Senior employees do not have time to transfer their unique competencies to a new generation.

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said on June 30 that it is currently difficult to involve young people from the Zumer generation in the workforce due to their specific needs. According to him, modern youth pays more attention to hobbies and personal time. In addition, representatives of this generation are not prone to overwork.
