The referendum on depriving Fico of lifetime payments failed due to low turnout

The turnout in the referendum on depriving Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico of lifetime payments turned out to be too low, and therefore the vote will not be recognized. This was announced on July 4 by the Slovak portal Denik N.

"The Slovak referendum on the abolition of the prime minister's pension and the restoration of the elite prosecutor's office and police will not be recognized as valid due to the low turnout," the publication says.

It is specified that about 15% of voters took part in the voting.

On July 4, polling stations opened in Slovakia for voting in a referendum on depriving the Prime Minister of the republic of lifetime payments.
