A time capsule was laid in Philadelphia on the day of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States

In Philadelphia, a time capsule with objects from all 50 American states was laid in honor of the 250th anniversary. This was reported on July 4 by the CBS News channel.

"The goal is for the Americans of the future to open this capsule on the 500th anniversary of the founding of the country — July 4, 2276," the publication says.

The capsule laying ceremony took place on Independence Square. It is planned to install an art installation based on the cartoon "Join or Die" by American politician Ben Franklin above the place where the capsule is located.
