The match of the 1/8 finals of the FIFA World Cup between France and Paraguay will be held at an air temperature of +38 degrees. This was reported by The Athletic on July 4.

"The Lincoln Financial Field stadium in Philadelphia will host the 1/8 finals match between France and Paraguay. <...> The air temperature at the beginning of the game may rise to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (+38 degrees Celsius)," the publication says.

It is clarified that at the moment there is no information about a possible postponement of the match. As noted in the publication, the organizers of the championship "have the right to cancel or postpone the match for any reason."

The national team of Argentina defeated the Cape Verdean team in the match of the 1/16 finals of the FIFA World Cup. The match took place on July 3 in Miami and ended with a score of 3:2 in extra time. Among the Argentines, Lionel Messi scored goals in the 29th minute and Lisandro Martinez in the 92nd minute. Deroy Duarte (59th) and Sidney Cabral (103rd) scored for the Cape Verdean national team. The decisive goal was scored by Cape Verdean player Dinej in the 111th minute of the match.
