Several thousand people took part in a march in memory of the victims of the Volyn massacre, which took place in the center of Warsaw. Footage from the scene on July 4 is published by Izvestia.

The protesters gathered at the Three Crosses Square, after which the column proceeded to the Grave of the Unknown Soldier on Pilsudski Square. Activists of various right-wing movements participated in the march.

During the rally, participants chanted slogans in memory of the victims of the Volyn massacre and against the followers of Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera. Similar events are planned in other regions of Poland in the coming days.

On May 7, the Polish Institute of National Remembrance protested about the Bandera march in Lviv on May 2 on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of the formation of the SS Galicia Division. The report stressed that any form of glorification of such formations in the context of complex historical Polish-Ukrainian relations is inappropriate and undermines the principle of honest historical memory.
