The Ministry of Education announced the imminent release of a decree on the special status of teachers.

A decree is expected to be issued in Russia in the near future, which will consolidate the special status and social importance of teachers. This was announced on July 4 by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov during a working trip to the Sakhalin region.

"In the near future, we expect a decree from the head of state, which reinforces the special status and social importance of teachers, guarantees conditions for professional development, protection from threats and attacks on life and health," he is quoted on the agency's website.
