The results of the 11th season of the Design Workshop competition have been summed up in Moscow, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
As part of the competition, 120 artists, designers, marketers and university students developed souvenir concepts for the capital's cultural venues, including the Kolomenskoye - Izmailovo and Ostankino and Kuskovo nature Reserves
"The competition provides an opportunity for representatives of creative industries to show their talents and establish new business contacts. By joining teams, the participants developed 25 original design solutions. The best projects were determined by the jury," Sergunina explained.
For the Moscow Zoo, the contestants came up with a line of clothing and accessories designed for a youth audience, which will reflect the institution's mission to preserve rare animal species. Silhouettes of Katyusha the panda, Stepan the tiger, Pamir the elephant and other zoo inhabitants are chosen as the main design element.
Another team presented a collection of objects inspired by the decorative decorations of the Ostankino and Kuskovo State Palace and Park Museum-Reserve. It includes, in particular, a picnic blanket, tablecloths, shawls, embroidered napkins and dishes.
A series of products "The whole world is a field for research" was developed for the Timiryazev State Biological Museum. It includes kits for growing plants, a diary for field recordings, postcards on seed paper, and a candle in a bird feeder package.
This season's partners are also the Moscow State Defense Museum and the Moscow State United Art Historical, Architectural, Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve Kolomenskoye - Izmailovo.
