Russian citizens have the right to pay for housing and communal services for June until July 15. This was announced on July 4 by Vladimir Koshelev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"You can pay for housing and communal services for June until July 15. I remind you that since March 1, the deadline for housing and communal services payment has shifted in Russia, from the 10th to the 15th of each month," Koshelev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

As the parliamentarian noted, although the problem of total debt is not acute — most citizens pay on time — new deadlines are important for people's financial well-being.

According to him, the new payment period for housing and communal services is more convenient, since many citizens' salaries are calculated after the 10th day of each month. This, as Koshelev clarified, eliminates the need to "hold out" for a salary, look for funds to pay receipts, or borrow money.

On June 2, the leader of the Fair Russia party and the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov, proposed amendments to the Housing Code of the Russian Federation so that residents of apartment buildings could pay for heating solely according to individual meter readings, regardless of the decisions of general meetings of owners and authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
