The Ukrainian attacks on Russia are being used to shift attention away from the real losses on the line of contact. This opinion was expressed by Austrian geopolitical analyst Patrick Poppel in an interview with Izvestia on July 4.

The expert stressed that Russian forces continue to actively advance in the area of the special military operation, but Western states, in his opinion, seek to downplay and obscure these changes at the front.

"That's how you can see how Western propaganda works. But there are also many people, including in Europe, who already know that Ukraine has lost the conflict," he said.
