European officials should recognize the relationship between mass migration and housing shortages in Europe. This was announced on July 3 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

"After more than 60 million immigrants have arrived in the EU, Ursula [von der Leyen, head of the European Commission], giving everyone her trademark smile, announces the European housing crisis. How about European bureaucrats start recognizing elementary cause-and-effect relationships?" wrote Dmitriev in X (ex. Twitter).

He also asked about the possibility of solving the problem through mass deportation of migrants.

British Interior Minister Shabana Mahmood said on June 29 that the government had announced that people who had received asylum in the country would have to return about 10,000 pounds for accommodation and maintenance after starting work. Adult migrants with refugee status or an indefinite residence permit will have to pay this amount gradually before they can apply for a permanent residence permit.
