An embankment near the Oktyabrsky Bridge will be built in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, a new embankment is being built on the right bank near the Oktyabrsky Bridge. This is another step towards creating a continuous recreation area along the right bank of the Yenisei River, said Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin.

The public space with a length of more than 500 m is planned to be transformed by August. Observation balconies overlooking the river will be installed along the perimeter, wooden flooring will be laid, a playground will be equipped, trees and shrubs will be planted.

In 2027, the second stage of landscaping will begin, which will stretch towards Parkovaya Street. The filling of the new territory will be discussed with local residents.

The implementation of the facility became possible thanks to the initiative of the residents. Almost 28 thousand citizens voted for the improvement of the coast. Due to their high activity, it was decided to continue the work.

The work is carried out as part of the first stage of the federal program "Creating a comfortable urban environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

In total, according to the national project, eight places will be put in order in the regional capital in 2026. Among them are the embankments in the Leninsky district, the square in front of the Cultural Center on Vysotnaya Street, Zapadny Squares and the Preoles public zone.

Earlier it was reported that a section of Molodezhny Prospekt, closed more than 10 years ago, began to be restored in Krasnoyarsk. We are talking about a 130-meter-long stretch of road, where the walls of the ravine have slipped.
