More than 2.6 million cubic meters of timber products were exported from the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the first half of 2026. Half of this volume was exported, and sawn timber accounted for 99% of shipments abroad, the press service of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor administration reports.

The geography of supplies covered 16 countries of the world. China remains the main importer, where about 80% of the total regional timber exports were shipped. 1 million cubic meters of lumber and 12 thousand cubic meters of business timber were delivered to China.

Domestic transportation also showed activity. More than 1.3 million cubic meters of roundwood and sawn timber were shipped to the Russian regions. Significant shipments were destined for the Irkutsk Region and the Krasnodar Territory.

Cargo control was carried out by the staff of the department, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. The inspectors issued 51.3 thousand certificates for forest products: 21.5 thousand phytosanitary and 29.8 thousand quarantine.

Earlier it was reported that Finland's refusal to import wood from Russia in 2022 as part of EU sanctions led to an increase in furniture prices by almost 30%. Before the restrictions were imposed, the Russian timber industry covered about 70% of supplies to the country.
