The court extended the arrest of blogger Bitmama in the second criminal case.
The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of blogger Valeria Fedyakina (Bitmame) in the second criminal case until October. This was reported on July 3 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
Bitmama is charged with illegal banking activities committed by an organized group and related to generating income on a particularly large scale. In this case, she could face up to seven years in prison, as well as a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
The court also extended the arrest of ex-Bitmama investor Gagik Gulakyan, accused of illegal banking activities. The man will remain in custody until October 7. It is specified that we are talking about illegal banking activities committed by an organized group with the extraction of income on a particularly large scale, Gulakyan's case was separated into a separate proceeding.
According to the case file, it was Gulakyan who wrote the application against Bitmama, who had previously been under state protection. In 2023, Fedyakina filed two statements against him to the Investigative Committee: about fraud and giving false testimony in the case of embezzlement of 6.7 billion rubles.
On May 27, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow arrested Bitmama in a new criminal case. She is charged with illegal banking activities committed by an organized group and related to generating income on a particularly large scale. The next day, the Moscow City Court upheld the verdict.
Fedyakina was arrested in September 2023. According to investigators, she organized a financial pyramid scheme and transferred earnings abroad, bypassing currency controls and restrictions. Bitmama received cash, converted it into cryptocurrency, and sent it through crypto wallets to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In June 2025, the court sentenced the blogger to seven years in a penal colony, she was found guilty of embezzling more than 2.2 billion rubles from clients. Later it was established that the damage amounted to at least 3.8 billion rubles.
