The best sports projects of the VI season of the All-Russian contest "You're in the game" have been named

The results of the VI season of the All-Russian sports project competition "You're in the game" have been summed up in Moscow. The award ceremony was held on July 3 at the Rossiya National Center and brought together the authors of the best initiatives. The event was attended by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Sofia Malyavina, Director General of the National Priorities NGO, Evgenia Medvedeva, two-time Olympic silver medalist and two-time world champion in figure skating, as well as members of the competition's expert council.

The "You're in the Game" competition has been held for the sixth year in a row by the National Priorities NGO with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation under the state program "Sport of Russia". The key objectives of the competition are to find and support promising sports projects that involve Russians in regular physical education and help promote an active lifestyle.

The projects cover dozens of sports, from high—tech to adaptive and inclusive. Every Russian citizen over the age of eighteen can participate in the competition, as well as companies and individual entrepreneurs whose projects involve at least five people at the time of application.

An educational accelerator was organized for the semifinalists, the program of which was developed by the Russian International Olympic University. The skills acquired by the participants during the training will help them further scale and strengthen their projects.

Over the past six seasons, the competition has become the country's main platform for identifying and developing the best Russian sports initiatives. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, noted: "The "You're in the Game" contest is an All—Russian one, not in words, but in deeds: 27 thousand applications from participants. Sports enthusiasts make a huge contribution to achieving the national goal set by our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin— that 70% of citizens practice sports regularly. In order to have such opportunities, all conditions are being created in our country. The Russian government supports many sports programs."

He thanked the organizers of the "You're in the Game" contest, the National Priorities NGO, who, with the support of the Ministry of Sports, were able to make it so popular.

The winners were determined in five main categories ("Children in Sports", "Starting Point", "Scale", "Transformation in Sports", "Limitless Opportunities"), as well as in three partner categories ("Corporate Sports", "Sports Tourism", "Media").

Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee, stressed: "President of our country Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has repeatedly stressed that sport shapes character and instills the values of a healthy lifestyle. This is exactly what the "You're in the Game" contest is aimed at, which is held within the framework of the state program "Sport of Russia" by the Ministry of Sports and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "National Priorities". Over the years, the projects of the competition have reached more than 24 million people. This season alone, over six thousand applications have been received, with a total reach of about four million people. Every year, the number of initiatives aimed at supporting children, the elderly and people with disabilities, veterans, and war veterans is growing. I wish all participants, enthusiasts and sports fans faith, hope and love, because it is the love of Russia and sports that unites us all."

The winner of the Grand Prix of 1 million rubles was the Vertigo Sports project from the Rostov region, which was presented in the "Transformation in Sports" nomination. Its authors have created and patented a domestic technology of artificial ocean-type waves, which makes surfing popular and accessible even far from the sea coasts.

Sofia Malyavina, General Director of ANO National Priorities, drew attention to the qualitative changes and trends of the sixth season of the competition: "There are more and more enthusiasts who are forming a modern sports community around themselves, where there is a place for everyone. The nominations "Children in sports" attracted a great response — 1,414 applications and "Starting Point" — 1,381 applications. This indicates a high demand for the development of children's sports and that more and more people are ready to launch their own sports projects at the local or regional level. Partner nominations have grown as sports increasingly move beyond the gym or playground and become part of travel and corporate culture. Another notable trend this season is the diversification of sports formats themselves. Previously, classical disciplines prevailed among the applications, but now we see that various martial arts, mass sports formats and non-standard author's projects are gaining popularity."

The first place in the "Transformation in Sports" nomination was taken by a project from the Republic of Bashkortostan. In the "Starting Point" nomination is the Ryder Kids school of extreme sports from the Perm Region. The Moscow-based project "PARATENNIS RF" won an award in the "Limitless Possibilities" category. In the Children in Sports category, the Open Sky project from Sevastopol became the best, and in the Scale category, the Pioneer Cup Amateur Biathlon Cup from Moscow won.

The partner nominations were won by the projects "EngiNE" from the Moscow region ("Corporate Sports"), "Kamchatka Trail-1" from the Kamchatka Territory ("Sports Tourism") and "Sportopyt" from Moscow ("Media").

During the competition, a popular vote was held, in which 250 semi-finalists took part. The winner was the project "Football in the village of Lovozero 2.0" from the Murmansk region. Its author, firefighter Janis Shebut, received a special prize from the publication Sport Business Consulting (SBK) for publishing material about his initiative on the website and in the print version of the magazine.
