An unusual patrol took to the streets of Stavropol in honor of the 90th anniversary of the State Traffic Inspectorate. Two employees from "different generations" served in it, the press service of the regional department of the department reported on Friday, July 3.

On the occasion of the anniversary, an inspector in the uniform of previous years in a yellow retro car and a modern law enforcement officer took part in the raids. The partners stopped the cars, checked the documents and held preventive conversations with the drivers, writes IA StavropolMedia.

After the conversations, the motorists agreed that despite the evolution of cars, uniforms and rules, the main task of traffic police officers remains the same — to protect lives on the roads and ensure road safety.

The State Traffic Inspectorate celebrates a professional holiday and with it an impressive date: on July 3, 1936, a structure was created in the Soviet Union, which was tasked with maintaining order on the roads.

Over the decades, the service has gone from a small inspection to a modern unit equipped with digital traffic control systems. For example, in Moscow, inspectors use a computer system capable of instantly identifying vehicles in traffic.
