The incident occurred 16 km from the village of Vvedenshchiny, where a tourist group of 182 people traveling on 10 rafts made a stop. While the participants of the hike were relaxing and cooking, four-year-old Daniel disappeared. According to one of the eyewitnesses, the boy headed towards the water, but no one saw the moment of his fall into the river.
Two rafting participants, 42—year-old Alexey Korotkov and 45-year-old Nikolai Bairov, immediately rushed to find the child. As a result, the men also disappeared, their whereabouts have not yet been established. Emergency services are involved in the work.
