Four people suffered from tick bites in the Murmansk region
Over the past week, four people have suffered from tick bites in the Murmansk region. A total of 32 such appeals have been registered since the beginning of the season.
According to the Bi-Port news agency, since March, 21 ticks taken from humans have been admitted to the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology for research. Two of the pests turned out to be carriers of borreliosis, and one of ehrlichiosis.
Rospotrebnadzor noted that there is no viral tick-borne encephalitis in the Murmansk region. All registered cases of the disease are imported.
The largest number of medical visits with tick bites was registered in the Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo, Kirov, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Tyumen and Novosibirsk regions.
