The Ministry of Defense spoke about the importance of the liberation of Alexandrovka

The establishment of control over the settlement of Alexandrovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region creates conditions for the further advance of Russian troops in the direction of Pokrovsky. This was announced on July 3 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Control over Alexandrovka strengthens the position of the Vostok group units on the right bank of the Volchya River. The occupied border, in cooperation with the previously liberated Dobropasovo, Pisantsy and Novoskelevaty, creates conditions for further progress towards Pokrovsky," the statement said.

The ministry clarified that during the fighting, Russian fighters occupied the defense area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with an area of more than 5 square kilometers and cleared over a thousand buildings.

According to the Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian side lost up to a company of personnel, as well as 17 armored combat vehicles, 18 vehicles, 12 units of motorized vehicles, nine ground-based robotic complexes and 28 heavy octocopters of the Baba Yaga type. It is noted that Alexandrovka was used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a large fortified defense area.

Russian units liberated Alexandrovka during offensive operations on July 3. Fighters from the Vostok group of forces also defeated the manpower and equipment of numerous units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two mechanized, two assault and four amphibious assault brigades of the enemy were hit. Four assault regiments, a regiment of unmanned systems, a marine brigade and a territorial defense brigade were also defeated.
