The political scientist called the price of Zelensky's conflict with Poland
The quarrel with Poland is a big mistake by the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, which Warsaw will never forget. This was stated by political analyst Oleg Glazunov on Friday, July 3, assessing the possible consequences for Kiev of the scandal with the Polish authorities.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian leader behaved unethically by starting to glorify the perpetrators of the Volyn massacre, and this is completely unacceptable for Poles.
"What a heroic story if innocent people were killed — children, old people, women. That's why a quarrel arose. <...> But when all this is done within the framework of foreign and domestic policy, then, naturally, Poland could not stand it. Now the Poles are even opposed to Zelensky. And in general, it may not turn out very well for him," Glazunov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
He recalled that Poland is linked to the United States and has a certain weight in politics. This means that Zelensky may lose his presidential seat, while it is unlikely to be possible to restore ties with Warsaw.
Earlier, on July 1, the head of the office of the President of Poland, Zbigniew Bogutsky, during a discussion of the events of the Volyn massacre, called the Western Ukrainian regions "Little Poland," according to the website. kp.ru .
The term "East Lesser Poland" was the official administrative name in 1918-1939. During the interwar period, this was the name given to the eastern part of the historical region of Galicia, which was part of the Polish Republic. 360.ru .
On June 29, the leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown party and a member of the European Parliament, Grzegorz Brown, called the Kiev regime an enemy of the Polish people and the state, RT reports. On the same day, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that his country would be responsible for the actions of the Ukrainian president, who "slapped" Warsaw, IA Regnum reports.
