One of the main priorities for the military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is to identify and prevent attacks on Russian territory from the air. This was announced on July 3 by the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Andrei Belousov, during a working meeting at the command post of the Black Sea Fleet.
"Building up the combat capabilities of the coastal detection system, as well as the forces and means of repelling enemy air attacks and protecting military and civilian infrastructure facilities is one of the priorities," Belousov is quoted as saying on his department's Maks messenger channel.
Admiral Sergei Pinchuk, Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, who took part in the meeting, reported to the head of the Russian Defense Ministry on the fulfillment of the tasks that the Russian fighters are solving.
During the same event, Belousov met with the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, and the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, with whom he talked about the current situation on the peninsula. At the end of the meeting, the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation solemnly presented state awards to those soldiers who heroically proved themselves in the area of the special military operation.
