Five new car models first appeared in Russia in June
In June 2026, three new passenger cars and two light commercial vehicles were registered in Russia for the first time. This was reported on July 3 by the analytical agency Autostat.
Among the passenger cars on the list are the mid—size Jeland J7 and Volga K40 crossovers, models of new Russian brands that have begun to be produced in the country based on Chinese cars. The third model registered for the first time is the Chinese sedan Jetta VA7.
As for light commercial vehicles (LCVs), in the first summer month, cars of the new SKM brand (models M7 and M9) from AvtoVAZ, which are being produced at sites in Tolyatti and Nizhny Novgorod, were registered for the first time.
Yesterday it was reported that over the past 10 years, average prices for new cars in Russia have more than doubled — by 107%. Over the same period, the average cost of a used car increased 2.6 times, by 162%.
