Sobyanin spoke about the development of the road network in the area of the ZIL plant

In the area of the ZIL industrial zone, where a new residential area has been built, a convenient street and road network is being created, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the Maks messenger.

Construction of more than 1 km of new roads has been completed in the southern part of the former factory, which will provide convenient access to new buildings, Sobyanin said. In addition, the specialists made a U-turn exit from the Marc Chagall embankment while driving towards Andropov Avenue.

"As a result, new intra—district connections have been created, residents have additional routes without detours, it has become freer on the nearest streets, and it is possible to drive faster and more comfortably through the Danilovsky district," Sobyanin wrote.

He noted that parks have already been set up in the area, coastal areas have been improved, housing and social facilities have been built. Several types of urban transport are available to residents.

In April, the Moscow authorities approved the draft layout of the territory of the ZIL transport hub. The work will cover more than 15 hectares. The project includes the construction and reconstruction of 0.8 km of the street and road network, including sections of Likhachev Avenue, Lisitsky and Architect Leonidov Streets, as well as the Projected passage No. 8082. Three routes of land-based urban passenger transport will be connected to the transport hub from the western side of Likhachev Avenue.
