A truck carrying Frank's Redhot hot sauce in Ohio started leaking on an interstate highway, resulting in about 18,000 kilograms of the substance spilling out of it. This was reported on July 1 by The Columbus Dispatch newspaper, citing local authorities.

"In the northern part of Delaware County, a semi—trailer carrying 40 thousand pounds (more than 18 thousand kg. — Ed.) of Frank's Redhot hot sauce began to leak," the publication says.

It is clarified that the firefighters who arrived at the spill site did not wash the substance off the road, as this could lead to environmental problems. Instead, they started using protective pools.

As the newspaper noted, the traffic police may issue a fine to the transport company responsible for the incident.

NBC10 TV channel reported on June 30 that at least 13 freight train cars with "dangerous materials" derailed in the US state of Pennsylvania. Due to the incident, people in the village of Bensalem were urged to evacuate. The order was later canceled because the specialists did not find any "dangerous materials."
