Europe has become a hostage to the pro-Ukrainian course at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). This was announced on July 3 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the organization Dmitry Polyansky.

"Even when there is a meeting on abstract topics, the task of Ukrainians is to introduce an anti—Russian element there. The Europeans, some consciously, some reluctantly, are helping them with this. They have become hostages of the policy of supporting the Kiev regime," he said.

According to the diplomat, it is almost impossible to raise an issue at the OSCE site that does not touch on the topic of Ukraine to one degree or another.

On June 30, Polyansky did not rule out that Europe could enter into conflict with Russia before 2030. He clarified that now the threshold of potential provocations from the West has begun to decrease and there are more of them than before. The permanent Representative noted that active militarization is underway in Europe, and the narrative of an allegedly aggressive Russia and the plans attributed to it is being used as an excuse.
