A child died as a result of a boat collision in the Voronezh reservoir
In the Voronezh reservoir, a boat ran over a minor boy, as a result of which he died. This was reported on July 2 in the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
"The Voronezh Investigation Department for Transport of the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case into the death of an 11-year—old boy as a result of a boat hitting him in the waters of the Voronezh Reservoir," the message in the Maks messenger says.
It is specified that the case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of marine and inland waterway transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence").
On June 27, the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that investigators had opened a criminal case in the Khabarovsk Territory over the death of a young child as a result of a boat capsizing on the Maya River. According to the Investigative Committee, three people were in the water without life jackets, and the child drowned.
