In Tuva, during the search for the missing 13-year-old girls, they found their phones neatly folded and turned off. The mother of one of the missing Aldynai told Izvestia about this on July 2.

According to the woman, her daughter Amina asked for a walk with her classmate Ailana around 17:00. She didn't take anything from her belongings except her phone, saying that they would go to the school stadium. Amina's grandmother added that the girl never left the house without asking.

After eight o'clock in the evening, mom began to worry that her daughter was not answering the phone, and an hour later, the family, along with Ailana's relatives, went out in search of the schoolgirls. Later, at about three o'clock in the morning, Amina's brother and his friends found the missing girls' phones neatly folded on a rock and turned off near the Yenisei River.

"To be honest, I do not know why they went ashore...> My daughter can't even swim," said Amina's mother.

She also noted that there were no quarrels in the house and that her daughter was always cheerful, did well in school and was an activist.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tuva, Yuri Zavyalov, personally joined the search for the missing 13-year-old girls. A criminal case has been opened into the disappearance of the children. Search operations are continuing, and an investigative task force is working on site.

On the same day, the Russian Interior Ministry in the region reported that for the second day in a row, two missing 13-year-old girls were being searched in Tuva. The publication called on anyone with information about the possible whereabouts of the children to immediately report this to law enforcement agencies, as even seemingly insignificant information can contribute to the operation.
