Prosveshchenie suggested building a child's educational trajectory based on the needs of the labor market

The education system should take into account the personal characteristics of schoolchildren and help them choose a professional trajectory in advance, taking into account the demands of the labor market. This was stated by the head of JSC Prosveshchenie, Deputy Chairman of VEB.Alexander Tarabrin of the Russian Federation told Izvestia about the results of the technical council "Personnel training for technological development", which was held in the City laboratories of VEB.

"First of all, it is important to build an individual educational trajectory for each child, which takes into account their strengths, helps them choose their future profession consciously and meets the needs of the region's economy and labor market," he said.

According to Tarabrin, this approach will allow taking into account the individual characteristics of each child, helping him to reveal his strengths and master the program without excessive workload. He noted that children perceive information in different ways, so the educational system must adapt to different learning formats and ways of presenting knowledge.

"Everyone used to read textbooks, including with a flashlight under a blanket. Today, children receive information in a completely different way, and the educational environment should take this into account. For some, it is easier to perceive the material through text, for others - through video, interactive formats or other communication channels. It is important to use those teaching methods that really help the child to assimilate knowledge," Tarabrin explained.

He also stressed that children should be introduced to future professional development options as early as possible. According to the head of Prosveshchenie, the labor market has changed a lot, there are many new professions and individual areas within them, so it is important for schoolchildren to understand in advance what skills will be in demand in the future and how education can help them build their own professional trajectory.

Tarabrin added that the education system should help schoolchildren and students focus not only on the general labor market, but also on the staffing needs of the region where they live. To do this, he said, it is important to inform children and their parents about sought-after professions in the city or region of the Russian Federation.

"It often happens that people don't even know that, for example, there is a huge enterprise in a neighboring city that requires a certain profile of employees, and they leave for other regions, move to other cities. <...> And our task is to communicate this information together with the region. When a person understands what opportunities are next to him, he can consciously choose his professional path and make plans for the future," Tarabrin said.

The head of JSC Prosveshchenie noted that the company, together with the regional authorities, is working on the development of modern educational infrastructure and equipping schools, colleges and specialized universities in those areas that are in demand by the economy of a particular region. As an example, he cited agroclasses in the southern regions of Russia, where agriculture is actively developing.

Tarabrin also said that Prosveshchenie has projects on educational robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and unmanned technologies. According to him, some of them are already being implemented, others are at the stage of pilot projects.

"We are open to cooperation with all regions of Russia and are ready to develop educational projects wherever they are requested," Tarabrin concluded.
