The roofers who climbed the Empire State Building were charged with eight counts.

Russian rufers Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus, who climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York, were charged with eight charges each. This was reported on July 1 by ABC News TV channel with reference to the local police.

"Both are facing multiple charges, including burglary, endangering life and health, intentionally causing damage to property, trespassing, violating local law, illegally interfering in other people's affairs, hooliganism and possession of hacking tools," the publication says.

Fox News reported on the same day that Nicolau and Beerkus climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York. Exactly how the couple was able to bypass the security system and get to the top of the building remains unknown. After the young people climbed to the top of the building, the man took out an engagement ring from his backpack and proposed to the girl.
