Military personnel of the special forces unit of the Center group of forces destroyed about 100 hexacopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dobropolsky area of the special military operation (UAV). This was announced on July 2 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Military personnel are systematically hunting for enemy heavy hexacopters equipped with an ammunition dump system. These devices of the formation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are used both day and night.

Russian operators are hitting not only drones carrying ammunition, but also UAVs delivering provisions and supplies to Ukrainian units on the line of contact. Operators track down hexacopters in the air, as well as attack them at take-off points and training sites.

The systematic destruction of drones by the special forces of the Center group of forces significantly reduces the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dobropolsky area of the special operation.

On July 1, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that military personnel of the Center group of Forces unmanned systems units began actively using new long-range BM-70 aircraft-type attack drones in the area of a special military operation. Drones are designed to strike at important enemy targets located far from the front line. These include ammunition depots, command posts, as well as locations for personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
