A German MP called for Zelensky to be brought to justice for undermining Nord Streams

A Ukrainian suspect in the case of the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion is due to appear in court in Germany, but the investigation should also affect the organizers of the sabotage. This was stated by Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in an interview with Izvestia on July 2.

"It can be quite definitely assumed that the instructions came from Kiev, from the government, that [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky knew about this and, moreover, he himself gave the order to blow up the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This is exactly what needs to be thoroughly investigated, and it would also be right to bring Zelensky to justice," he said.

In addition, Lindemann criticized the German federal government, which still supports the head of the Kiev regime. The MP stressed that the AFG opposes further financial support for Ukraine at the expense of taxpayers.

On July 1, ARD TV channel reported that the German Prosecutor General's Office had filed the first charges against a Ukrainian citizen suspected of involvement in sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream–2 gas pipelines. The man is currently in a detention facility in Hamburg. He was detained in the summer of 2025 while on vacation in Italy and later extradited to Germany.
