The fighters of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of Novoselovka

On July 2, the stormtroopers of the 38th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 35th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the settlement of Novoselovka in the Zaporizhia region. The relevant footage was distributed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on July 2.

"The main focus was on covertly summoning assault groups, reducing efforts in advance, and using our UAV calculations, which conducted daily, day and night reconnaissance with attack-type copters, which inflicted fire damage on the enemy. <...> And we inflicted fire damage on this point in a massive manner. <...> And we observed as a house, their position developed quite quickly," said the battalion commander with the call sign Arbita.

During the fighting in the area of the settlement, more than a platoon of manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), six armored combat vehicles, 12 units of automotive equipment, more than 10 ground-based robotic platforms, as well as 23 Baba Yaga drones were destroyed.

"When the group is moving, the commander leads us all the time without stopping. <...> Everyone is constantly taking care of us, everyone is telling us what to do. If suddenly the enemy starts actively using it somewhere, they will cover us up, they will hide us on the sly. <...> They are completely preparing for everything: throwing grenades, working with an FPV drone. The training is large—scale, they just prepare for absolutely everything," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Bely.

The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that the liberation of Novoselovka allowed the units of the Vostok group of forces to create favorable conditions for further offensive operations in this area and expand the controlled zone in the Zaporizhia region.

As participants of the Victory Day Parade on May 9, the great-grandchildren of the 1945 victors are defending Russia on the same frontiers where their ancestors once fought.

The release of Novoselovka and Pisantsev became known on June 28, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. During the fighting, the units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the military groups of the Center troops improved their tactical position and defeated units of three mechanized, jaeger and assault brigades, and two enemy assault regiments.
