FRP helped to master the production of components for KAMAZ trucks in Tatarstan
The Kama Mechanical Plant (KMZ) has expanded its range of automotive components in Naberezhnye Chelny and introduced a full cycle of dental treatment. The company acquired metalworking equipment at the expense of a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (EDF). The foundation's press service informed Izvestia about this on July 2.
The new products are used in gearboxes, transfer cases and gearboxes of drive axles for KamAZ trucks of the K5 generation. The total investment volume exceeded 390 million rubles, of which the Federal Reserve Fund provided 310 million rubles in the form of a concessional loan under the special program "Automotive Components".
As Evgeny Khloptsev, General Director of KMZ LLC, noted, if earlier products had to be sent to other enterprises for finishing teeth, now all operations are performed at the plant independently on modern machines.
The company has established the production of cylindrical gears of the main gear, which provide a smoother ride and a reduced noise level. After reaching full capacity, the total production volume will be 158.5 thousand parts per year. The output of shafts, couplings and drive flanges has also been increased, which are also sent to the KAMAZ conveyor. It is noted that only domestic raw materials are used in the production of products: blanks in the form of forgings are supplied by KAMAZ, the localization level is 100%.
Earlier, on June 9, it was reported that the FRP had financed 100 projects of industrial enterprises under the Automotive Components program, which is designed to encourage domestic enterprises to create their own component base for automotive and agricultural machinery. Under this program, companies can receive a preferential loan from 100 million to 2 billion rubles for up to seven years at rates of 3 and 5% per annum.
