Dozens of children in Vorkuta schools and kindergartens have become infected with enterovirus

In kindergartens and schools in Vorkuta, 37 children contracted enterovirus infection. This was announced on July 1 by a source of Izvestia.

The infection was detected in one school and five kindergartens in the city. According to the source, the largest number of cases was recorded in one of the kindergartens, where 11 pupils fell ill. In the remaining four, three to nine cases were identified, and six students caught the infection at school.

It is specified that all the patients received outpatient medical care. In educational institutions, together with Rospotrebnadzor, anti-epidemic measures are being carried out.

The number of cases of salmonellosis infection is growing in the country — most often the infection is transmitted through prepared foods.

On June 27, a source from Izvestia reported the death of two people as a result of mass poisoning in Solnechnogorsk, near Moscow. Six people were hospitalized as a result of the incident. Law enforcement agencies are investigating all the circumstances of the incident and establishing the nature of the origin of the substance that caused the poisoning.
