In Khabarovsk, passers-by rescued a baby trapped in a car in the heat

In Khabarovsk, concerned passers-by rescued a baby who was locked in a car by his mother and left in the heat. Gleb Kanzerev, who managed to pull the boy out of the salon, told Izvestia about this on July 1.

The incident occurred on Pavel Morozov Street. Noticing people crowding in the parking lot, Kanzerev went over to offer his help, and saw a baby screaming in a closed car.

"The crying was very strong, the child's face was red. <...> He was not lying in a cradle, not on a blanket, but just in the back seat, not propped up in any way and completely defenseless," the man explained.

At first, Kanzerev tried to break the glass with a piece of paving stone, but the ambulance staff who arrived at the scene explained that the fragments could touch the baby. After several attempts, the man and the locals managed to safely open the car.

Kanzerev calmed the boy down and handed him over to the doctors. Soon, his mother and grandmother arrived at the scene — according to Gleb, they had been gone for more than 40 minutes.

"There were some ridiculous excuses, slurred speech, unrelated. Mom actually said she had dementia," he added.

Later, the women stated that they had only briefly left the boy asleep, and then switched to swearing. According to the man, the mother and grandmother snatched the child from the doctors — the police convinced them to return him to the doctors.

On June 19, a seven-year-old boy fell into a coma from heat stroke in a locked car in Kuzbass. The woman, who needed to leave on her own business, decided to leave him in the car, having previously blocked the doors there. When she returned from the store, she found her son unconscious. The boy spent several days in the hospital. Doctors fought for his life, but the child could not be saved — he died in intensive care without coming out of a coma.
