Sochi Institute of the RUDN University refused graduate theses for lawyers because of AI

The Sochi branch of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) has rejected final qualifying papers in the field of Law for bachelor's degree sets in 2024-2026 due to the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported on July 1 in the press service of the Sochi RUDN University.

"Abandoning the WRC is not about "alleviating the lot" of students. This is raising the bar. We appreciate the true professionalism of the students. The diploma from the Sochi Institute of the RUDN University will continue to be a quality mark, but now this mark will not confirm the ability to write texts, but the ability to think like a lawyer in the digital age," the university's Telegram channel says.
