- The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation announced the number of Russians who received family benefits in June.
In June, 907,000 people received family tax payments, with more than 2 million children raised in their families. This was announced on July 1 by the press service of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation.
"In the first month of the family tax payment, 907 thousand citizens who raise more than 2 million children were assigned such assistance. The majority of applications, 98.3%, were submitted through the Gosuslugi portal. The average payment amount is about 30 thousand rubles," the press service said in a statement.
Parents of two or more children under the age of 18 can receive the payment (up to 23 years old — if the children study full-time at a university or college), provided that the family income is less than one and a half subsistence minimums for each family member, and the property meets the established criteria.
The amount of the payment is calculated from the amount of personal income tax received from work, excluding standard, social and property tax deductions.
According to the parents, the amount of income tax paid in 2025 is recalculated at a rate of 6%, and the difference is transferred by the Social Fund in a lump sum. You can apply for a new support measure until October 1. At the same time, if both parents worked, then each of them can apply for recalculation and receive a payment.
On June 20, State Duma deputy Yaroslav Samylin said that Russia should introduce a state program for professional retraining of employees of pre-retirement age with workplace automation and the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI). It was clarified that older employees have valuable experience and a deep understanding of work processes, and skills in working with neural networks could increase their demand.
