The results of the first month of the Teatralny Boulevard festival were summed up in Moscow

In June, more than 300 performances and interactive programs were presented to the guests of the Teatralny Boulevard Festival, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"These are opera and ballet productions, musicals and poetry shows, acting and dance classes, and creative meetings," she said.

More than 100 bands from Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Samara and other Russian cities performed at festival venues in different regions.

For example, the performances "Ruslan and Lyudmila" and "The Secret of the Battle of Kulikovo" took place on the stage on Chistoprudny Boulevard, and the opera "Eugene Onegin" and choreographic performances based on the works of Anton Chekhov took place on Pokrovsky Boulevard.

On Pushkinskaya Embankment in Gorky Park, one could visit the production of The Inspector General and the ballet Swan Lake, and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve for a performance by a jazz orchestra.

For the young audience, there were screenings of fairy-tale performances "Kolobok", "Masha and the Bear", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "The Elusive Funky", "The Persistent Tin Soldier", "The Flying Ship", as well as interactive circus shows and creative workshops.

Some of the events were timed to coincide with Russia Day. A History Lessons program was prepared at the site on Chistoprudny Boulevard with poetry readings from the Great Patriotic War and front-line letters. A concert with songs by Soviet and Russian composers was organized on the stage of the park near the Polytechnic Museum.

According to Sergunina, from July 1 to July 7, about 100 theatrical productions, concerts, classes in acting and stage speech, meetings with famous artists and artists are planned as part of the festival. So, on July 4, a literary and musical evening dedicated to the work of Anna Akhmatova will be held on Chistoprudny Boulevard, and on July 5, a production based on the novel "Viy" by Nikolai Gogol will be shown in the park near the Polytechnic Museum.

The third International Outdoor Festival "Teatralny Boulevard" is being held in the capital as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project from May 30 to August 30.
