- Experts discussed the training of engineering personnel in order to strengthen technological sovereignty
Representatives of Russian universities and industrial enterprises discussed approaches to training engineering personnel in order to achieve technological sovereignty and formed a list of practices recommended for replication at the federal level. The discussion took place in the press center of the Izvestia News Center.
During the meeting, Natalia Ivanova, CEO of IPR Group, presented the results of the study "Educational Environment of the Future", which was attended by 6.8 thousand students from 48 universities. "We are used to discussing the digital educational environment as a set of technologies. But any environment shapes behavior. If a student interacts daily with teachers, projects and employers in a single space, she forms not only competencies, she forms a professional culture," commented Ivanova.
The participants of the event talked about the current models of interaction between educational institutions and industrial enterprises. Thus, the Higher School of Petroleum, together with PJSC Tatneft, trains engineers taking into account the needs of the industry on the horizon until 2040. "Employers predict challenges for 15-20 years ahead, and the task of the Higher School of Petroleum is to prepare a specialist for these requests. This requires deep analytics and a long-term vision. Today, the success of training engineers of the future is based on three components: a clear image of the future, dialogue with the industry in the educational process and a developed ecosystem. It is their synergy that is the key to our country's technological sovereignty in the oil and gas industry," said Alexander Dyakonov, Rector of the ASTU HSE.
MSTU STANKIN, together with Virial, has developed an engineering training model that provides end-to-end practical training with the involvement of an industrial partner. And Kuban State Technological University, together with the Southern Heavy Machine Tool Plant, has created an Innovation Technology Center where students combine their studies with work at the enterprise.
