The Federation Council approved a draft on a single certificate for military retirees

The Federation Council at its plenary session on July 1 approved a government bill providing for the introduction of a single standard pension certificate for military retirees.

"The federal law establishes the legal grounds for issuing pension certificates to military pensioners and persons with equal pension benefits," said Senator Dmitry Perminov.

According to the document, a single sample of a military pensioner's certificate will be approved in Russia, as well as the procedure for its registration and issuance. The innovation is aimed at unifying documents confirming the status of recipients of military pensions. If the law is signed by the President of the Russian Federation, it will enter into force 180 days after its official publication.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

On July 1, TASS reported that a bill would be submitted to the State Duma to grant all combat veterans the right to receive land plots free of charge. A special procedure is provided for veterans living in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol. Due to the shortage of vacant land in cities of federal significance, instead of land within these subjects, it is proposed to pay compensation or allocate land in neighboring regions.
