The PSB stated the need for infrastructural development of the northern regions

The northern Russian regions need an infrastructural breakthrough for the development of the creative economy, said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at PSB. She spoke at the session "The North unites: the role of women in strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia", held on the sidelines of the II Northern Women's Forum.

According to Podguzova, PSB is actively involved in the construction of multifunctional centers, sports infrastructure, hotel and cultural and educational clusters, and also supports projects to develop tourism in Siberia and the Far East. "Our task is to help the development of the regions so that people do not leave for megacities, but stay in their small homeland and develop it," the vice president of the bank emphasized.

Podguzova added that PSB lends to small and medium-sized businesses in the Far Eastern and northern regions. At the same time, the bank records an increase in the number of women who are starting their own business based on family and national traditions. We are talking about ethnic workshops, craft schools and small industries. In this regard, the Vice-president of the PSB recalled that the bank has launched a number of online training projects that help women develop entrepreneurial competencies.

"We give the participants the skills so that they can start their own business, create additional income for the family, confidently manage family finances, understand investment instruments, while remaining guardians of family values. This is how traditions become an economy, and the economy becomes the basis for regional development," concluded Podguzova.

Podguzova paid special attention to the "Soul of Russia" project, which the PSB is implementing jointly with the Roscongress Foundation. The project is aimed at popularizing the cultural diversity of the regions, preserving the traditions of the peoples of Russia, and supporting folk art crafts.
