In the Moscow region, three forest fires were extinguished on the day of detection.

In the Moscow region, three forest fires were eliminated on the day of their detection. The persons involved in the arson attacks are being identified, the press service of the regional forestry committee reported on Wednesday, July 1.

All three fires were discovered the day before using the video monitoring system of the Moscow Regional Housing and Communal Services dispatch service. Two of them were located 2 km from the urban—type village of Misheronsky near Shatura, another one was 2 km from the village of Belopesotsky in Stupino.

31 personnel of forest fire brigades and 15 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires. It was established that the fires were caused by human fault due to violations of fire safety rules in forests. Materials about the incidents have been sent to the supervisory authorities to punish the perpetrators.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, administrative and criminal liability follows for arson, which led to a forest fire.
