The electric bus routes cover six districts in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts (TiNAO), said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Krasnaya Pakhra, Europe's largest house for electric buses, was put into operation in the TiNAO four years ago, Liksutov recalled. "With the opening of Russia's first Electric Bus House in Krasnaya Pakhra, innovative transport has arrived in the TiNAO and now covers six districts. The trips of residents to the green areas and stations of the rail frame of the capital have become even more comfortable," said the deputy mayor. He added that the capital continues to develop a network of eco-friendly routes on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Currently, 40 electric bus routes operate on the territory of the TiNAO, 24 of them are serviced by Krasnaya Pakhra Park. The house for electric buses is designed for 500 cars. It houses more than 200 charging stations and 34 ultrafast charging stations.

A year after the opening of Krasnaya Pakhra, the Mitino park was built in the north-west of Moscow: electric buses began to run along routes in 20 districts of the capital and two nearby cities of the Moscow region. At the end of 2023, the third innovative electric bus fleet, Saltykovka, was launched, which serves routes in the east of the capital. In addition, nine upgraded Mosgortrans platforms are operating for electric buses.

Electric buses have been running in the capital since 2018. From 2022, eco-friendly equipment of improved configuration will be supplied to Moscow. In 2025, electric buses of the new generation KAMAZ-52222 entered the routes for the first time. The expansion of the fleet and the development of charging infrastructure will increase the number of electric bus routes, Mosgortrans noted.
