"Arturillo, my friend, my senior, you were a very strong, wise and good man! You helped me a lot in your time, in the most difficult moments in sports — in a word, in deed, for which I am extremely grateful to you," the message on the Telegram channel says.
The press service of the Russian Figure Skating Federation reported on June 29 that Dmitriev died at the age of 59. The skater won the Olympic Games with different partners. In addition, he was a silver medalist at the Games, and also won the European Championship.
