Russia to send amphibious aircraft to Turkey to help extinguish forest fires

Russia will send two Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft to Turkey to assist in the elimination of large-scale forest fires. This was announced on June 30 at the Russian Embassy in the country.

"In response to the appeal from the Turkish side, two Be-200ChS aircraft will arrive in Turkey in the near future to assist in extinguishing seasonal forest fires," the embassy said in a Telegram message.

The Russian diplomatic mission wished the aircraft crews and all Turkish emergency services involved successful and safe work.

"Russia never leaves its friends in trouble," the embassy stressed.

ABC Television and Radio Corporation reported on June 18 that a large warehouse fire had occurred in Los Angeles - authorities urged people to find shelter. It is specified that two helicopters are involved in extinguishing the fire. The Los Angeles Police Department is on tactical alert.
