The Russian Historical Society (RIO) has signed cooperation agreements with the MAER media holding and Yandex on the sidelines of the Society's meeting dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the organization. The meeting also included the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Public Council of the Federal Party project "Historical Memory" of the All-Russian political Party "United Russia".

Famous scientists, educators, public figures, representatives of museums, foundations and the highest echelons of government, as well as RIO members from different regions of Russia gathered at the Presidential Academy — RANHiGS. The annual general meeting discussed the key goals, objectives and development strategy of the Russian Historical Society. Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed greetings to the participants.

"The activities of the members of the Russian Historical Society have always been aimed at strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia through the formation of an all-Russian historical culture. Now, when our country is waging an uncompromising struggle against the enemy, this task is becoming particularly relevant," said Sergey Naryshkin, Chairman of the Russian Historical Society.

RIO and MAER have agreed to implement joint projects in the field of historical literacy, education and promotion of historical and cultural standards. The partnership agreement was signed by Sergey Naryshkin and Konstantin Mayor, CEO of the media holding.

"The great history of Russia has always been our mainstay. Today we combine the expertise and knowledge of the Russian Historical Society with the high technologies of the IARC. Historical facts, unknown pages of history — together with RIO, we will broadcast them right on the streets, making them part of the national information field of the largest Russian cities!" Konstantin Mayor emphasized at the signing of the agreement.

The signing of the partnership agreement between RIO and IYER was highly appreciated by representatives of the museum and cultural community, including Alexey Levykin, Director General of the State Historical Museum, Candidate of Historical Sciences, and Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, ex-Minister of Culture.

"MAER is one of the most important companies engaged in public education. These are not just squares where advertisements for certain products or artistic phenomena are distributed. It's a place where people can come across certain meanings that they forget about in real life. And I think that the translation of these meanings is very important," said Mikhail Shvydkoi.
